The Language and the Poroper nouns in this book take their roots from various sources including Hunagrian, Mongolian, Japanese, Cambodian, Vietnamese, Sansksrit, Chinese, Old Norse, Slavic roots and Thai. This is a list of some of the most important and difficlt to pronunce ones.

• Niyukta – three syllables: Nee-yook-ta; emphasis often slightly on the last syllable.
• Sewa – Two syllables: pronounced "Say-vaa"; emphasis often slightly on the last syllable.
• Parmatii – Pronounced as “pah-ruh-meath-ee”; emphasis often slightly on the last syllable.
• Surtr – Pronounced as two syllables: Sur–tur, where the S is a "Sh" sound like in “ship” and the u is an “oo” sound in both cases like in the word “cook”.
• Yerleg – Two syllables: "yehr" (IPA: [jɛɾ] or [jeˑɾ]) and “leg”; e is pronounced like in "bed", g at the end is soft.
• Yimir – EE-meer; pronounced with a long "e" sound for the "Y" and a stressed second syllable, similar to the word "emir”.
• Eygja – Two syllables: E is like the e in “leg”; the “ygj” is a prolonged sound that sounds like the English 'y' in "yes" (with emphasis); and a is an open sound similar to the "a" in English "father."
• Aniaa – Sounds similar to the female name Anya but the emphasis is on the last “aa”, an open sound similar to the "a" in English "father."
• Agaa – A in both cases sounds similar to the "a" in English "father"; the emphasis is on the last “aa”, and the g is soft like the g in "together".
• Emee – The first E is pronounced like in "bed"; the second “ee” is like the 'a' in "pay" or "say"; emphasis on the last syllable.
• Subutai – soo-boo-TIE (/suːbuːˈtaɪ/); pronounced with the emphasis on the final syllable.
• Ajsha – A in both cases sounds similar to the "a" in English "father"; J sounds like Y in “yes”, and sh as in “ship”.
